48 Days Personality Profile

I have been a long time listener to Dan Miller’s 48 Days podcast for a long time.  I got turned onto Dan Miller from his good friend Dave Ramsey.  Dan Miller has a great approach to looking at your career and finding meaningful fulfilling work.  He wants you to find work that is true fit for you and given abilities.  He often cites this quote by James A Michener:

“The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he’s always doing both. ”

Dan has a lot of things to offer, he has written some good books and has some great seminars.  He also offers the 48 Days Personality Profile, that is a great indicator of your strengths and weaknesses.  I have taken this and learned a lot about myself.  I had taken these personality profiles before in college during an Organizational Behavior class and University of Northern Iowa.  Also when I interviewed for a job at Wallace Computer Services we took a similar type of profile looking for sales aptitude, as my first job out of college was as a Sales Representative.

I recently signed up to be an affiliate of Dan Miller because I have enjoyed his books and podcast for a few years now.  I hope to share his wisdom with more people and hope they find rewarding and fulfilling work.
